Variety reports that Heart Eyes 2 is officially in development, with a Feb. 11, 2028, release date, over three years from the original Heart Eyes release. Paramount Pictures, which handled international distribution for Heart Eyes, will take over from Screen Gems as the main distributor of the sequel, alongside Spyglass Media. Heart Eyes director Josh Reuben will return to direct the sequel and co-write the script with Darcy Fowler, from a story by Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy.
